Gotzon Otxoa

I am a passionate photographer/videographer who has developed this wonderful visual art as a passion, first as an enthusiast and later as a professional, after having completed my photography studies in a contemporary school.

I grew up in a small fishing village located along the coast of the Basque Country in the North mainland of Spain, facing the rough and stormy seas of the Bay of Biscay.

Seamanship is my profession and what I do for a living. I love boats, and my life is to be close to the sea, whether is flying with my kite above the surface, sailing through it or diving below. My journey ends wherever the boat will take me, into the open oceans or along any coastlines, islands and continents, and the final reward is being able to experience different cultures and people from all over the world. Working in this privileged environment has enabled me to develop my photography and my camera has proved to be a great traveling companion. Nature is my main point of focus, as well as the beauty that surrounds me wherever I travel.
